Feel more confident, positive and happier with yourself
Do you often doubt yourself, worry about what other people think or find yourself holding back?
Perhaps you struggle with anxiety, overthinking or shyness. You may find social situations exhausting, worry about saying the wrong thing, or replay conversations afterwards wondering how you came across.
Maybe you find it difficult to speak up, set boundaries or be completely yourself around other people. You might long to feel more confident, make deeper connections and enjoy life without constantly second-guessing yourself.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to stay stuck in these patterns.
I know what it’s like to feel this way
I understand low confidence and social anxiety on a personal level. For many years, I struggled with shyness and worrying about how I was perceived by other people.
I know how frustrating it can be to know that you want to be more confident, while something inside you seems to hold you back.
My own experience eventually led me to hypnotherapy and to discover that confidence isn’t simply about forcing yourself to be braver or telling yourself to “just stop worrying”. Sometimes the deeper patterns behind how we think, feel and respond need to change too.
Today, I use the approaches I’ve trained in to help others make those changes for themselves.
How Can Hypnotherapy Help?
Low confidence and anxiety can affect far more than how you feel in social situations.
They can influence your relationships, work, choices, self-belief and the opportunities you feel able to pursue. You may find yourself focusing on everything that could go wrong, listening to a harsh inner critic or staying safely within your comfort zone, even when part of you wants to do more.
Through hypnotherapy, we can work with the thoughts, beliefs and patterns that may be keeping you stuck and begin to create a different experience from the inside out.
Each one-hour session combines solution-focused talking therapy, hypnosis and NLP, with the approach tailored to you and what you want to achieve.
Your sessions may help you to:
Feel more positive and clear about your life
Learn to shift your attention away from constantly focusing on what’s going wrong and become more aware of the things that are going well. We can also explore what you genuinely want from your life and the steps that could move you towards it.
Reduce stress and feel safer within yourself
When you’re constantly anxious or stressed, it can be difficult to feel able to try something new. We can work on creating a greater sense of calm and safety, helping you feel more able to gradually step outside your comfort zone.
Become kinder to yourself
Learn to notice your inner critic without automatically believing everything it tells you. Through greater self-compassion, you can begin to change the way you talk to and treat yourself.
Release fears and anxieties
Explore the fears and anxieties that may be holding you back and begin to develop new, more positive emotional responses — creating more space for feelings of calm, joy and happiness.
Reconnect with your inner child
For some people, reconnecting with the younger parts of themselves can be a powerful and healing experience. This can provide an opportunity to offer yourself the understanding, reassurance and compassion you may have needed earlier in life.
Discover your inner strengths
Anxiety and low confidence can make you focus on everything you believe you can’t do. We can help you recognise your existing strengths, resources and successes so that you begin to see yourself differently.
Take small steps beyond your comfort zone
Confidence grows through experience. Rather than forcing yourself to make huge changes, we’ll focus on manageable steps that allow you to build confidence at a pace that feels right for you.
Mentally rehearse the person you want to be
Using visualisation, hypnosis and positive suggestions, you can rehearse situations in your mind and begin to imagine responding with greater confidence, calm and self-belief.
The aim isn’t to turn you into somebody you’re not.
It’s about helping you feel more comfortable being you.
To trust yourself a little more.
To quieten the inner critic.
To feel more connected to yourself and others.
And to feel able to take steps towards the life you actually want.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Everyone is different, so I don’t believe in putting you into a rigid programme.
I generally recommend starting with a commitment to at least four sessions. This gives us the time to understand what’s going on beneath the surface and begin making meaningful changes.
Some people may feel they have achieved what they wanted after four sessions, while others choose to continue for longer — perhaps six, eight or ten sessions — depending on their needs and goals.
We’ll regularly review your progress together so that your sessions remain focused on what you want to achieve.
What Could Change?
Imagine being able to walk into a social situation without immediately worrying about how you’ll come across.
Imagine speaking up without replaying your words afterwards.
Being able to say no without feeling guilty.
Trusting your own decisions.
Feeling comfortable enough to be yourself around other people.
And perhaps most importantly, feeling more connected — to yourself and to the people around you.
Confidence doesn’t mean never feeling nervous or anxious.
It means feeling able to move forward even when you do.
You Don’t Have to Figure It All Out Alone
You may know exactly what you want to change, or you may simply know that you’re tired of feeling this way.
That’s okay.
I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation where we can have a chat about what’s been going on, what you’d like to change and how I may be able to help.
There’s no obligation to book.
